Event Details

Impact weekend challenges students to live out the transformational change that takes place through God's salvation and power. As a caterpillar is transformed into a butterfly, we too are remade through salvation. This truth is often taken for granted, but it is foundational to appreciating God's salvation and His power.  The weekend will also include a great time of community, worship, and a service project.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Impact?

Impact is a weekend discipleship experience for students in 7-12 grade.  Students will participate in small group Bible studies, service projects, large group worship and more.  Everything about the weekend is designed to help students draw closer to God.  Students stay in Host Homes for the weekend in order for them to grow closer with those in their small group.

Where does my student sleep?

Students who attend Impact will stay overnight at a “Host Home.”  Host Homes are houses of student workers or other FBCA members that open up their homes for a group of students for the weekend.  Though most of the weekend takes place outside of the Host Home, it is still a valuable time for students to get to know each other and disciple one another.

You will find out what Host Home your student will be staying at a week or so before Impact, when we email you.  You will also receive contact information for the Host Home.

Will friends be put together in Host Homes?

Assuming they are the same gender, we will try our very best to accommodate.  We try to keep students of the same approximate age in a Host Home.

What is a small group?

Each small group (divided by age and gender) will be assigned a small group leader and Host Home.  The small group leader is a college student or young adult that has been preselected and prepped by the Student Ministry Staff.  The small group leader will be with the group the entire weekend.

What is the cost of Impact Weekend?

The cost is $60 per student.  This covers all expenses, including food, transportation,  T-shirt and more.  If you register by February 17th, we will take $10 off.

Are there any discounts for siblings?

Yes, we do offer a sibling discount.  Here is how it works: the first student is full price.  For each additional sibling, the cost is $10 less than the current price.

Can a student leave Impact Weekend for any reason?

While we would rather have everyone stay the entire time, we realize previous commitments (such as a choir concert, etc) may otherwise keep a student from attending and we do allow for pre-approved  absences.  The student’s parent is responsible for picking up and dropping off the student at the location of the rest of the group.  Please call the Student Office at 636.296.7729 ext 169 to find out exact locations for the time needing to be away.

What does my student need to bring?

Please bring a sleeping bag/pillow, clothes (Sunday morning we will all wear our Impact shirts to church), toiletries, towel, Bible, pen & favorite snack or soda.  Cell phones are allowed as long as they do not become a distraction.

When do they arrive Friday and depart Sunday?

Check-in in the lobby between 6:30-7:15pm Friday.  Our event will be finished around 12:15 pm Sunday when FBCA’s main service dismisses.

Is financial assistance available?

While we have limited funds, some financial assistance is available through our Charlie Chapman Memorial Scholarship Fund.  You can apply for this by choosing the scholarship option when registering online.  After your application is reviewed, we will get back to you in a timely manner.

How can I register?

Visit our website at fbcarnold.org/students, click on the link on our facebook page, via iPad kiosk outside the Fellowship Hall (on Sundays) or Welcome Center in the Fellowship Hall (during Synergy times).

What is the deadline?

Early registration is from January 27-February 3.  Final deadline is February 17.

Please feel free to contact our office with any additional questions.
